Summer Teen Ballet Workshop for ages 11-19

Are you a teen Ballet student who wants to get better but doesn’t want to pursue Ballet as a career? Most Ballet camps are geared towards advanced or pre-professional dancers, but GDC’s camp is a great workshop for the recreational Ballet dancer age 11-19 with at least 2 years of training. Classes are taught by caring and nurturing faculty without regard to aspirations, body type, length of study or flexibility. Learn variations, pas de deux, character, dance history, hair & make-up and nutrition.
Monique Brown started dancing at age 3 and went on to complete the ballet training program in the pre-professional division of the San Francisco Ballet School. She danced with the San Francisco Ballet in The Nutcracker and other productions through her teen years. Monique danced professionally for San Francisco Theater Ballet for 8 years and performed soloist and principal roles in productions of Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Giselle, and Paquita. Afterward, she performed as a freelance dancer, including a part in the musical theater production of “A Class Act,” which had a successful run in San Francisco.
TUITION
$500 for the week long camp
5% discount for 3 or more full-week camps (can be combined with Summer Dance Camp & Dance Me A Story camps)
5% discount for full-week camps purchased before March 15
$25 credit towards Fall Semester enrollment if enrolled before end of camp week (new students only)
10% New Student Discount will apply to semester tuition
Extended Care is available 8-9:15am and 4:45-6pm for $20/hour charged in 15 minute increments. Extended Care must be scheduled and paid in advance.
* All sales are final.
* Camp tuition is not refundable or transferable to semester tuition except for a serious documented medical issue. $100 cancellation fee will apply.
* Payment in full secures enrollment.
* Students with outstanding tuition will be dropped 10 days after initial enrollment.
* Sibling and new student discounts do not apply to Summer camps.

11-11:45am: Pointe-Pre-Pointe
12-12:30pm: lunch break
12:30-1:15pm: seminar in hair, make-up, nutrition, dance history etc.
1:15-2pm: Warmup
2-2:45pm: Variations
2:45-3pm: break
3-3:45pm: Pas de Deux
3:45-4:30pm: Conditioning/Flexibility
4:30-4:45pm: Camper pick-up
4:45-6pm: Extended Care
GDC reserves the right to cancel camp due to insufficient enrollment and will return all camp fees upon cancellation. Minimum of 5 dancers, maximum of 10 dancers.

Cancellation Policy: Enrollment is purposely kept low so the dancers can receive maximum attention from our master teachers. Because of this we cannot reimburse tuition for any cancellations AFTER May 15th except for documented medical reasons. Tuition can be credited towards semester tuition but a $100 cancellation fee will apply. Camp cancellations BEFORE May 15TH can receive a refund of 50% less a $50 cancellation fee or full amount credited towards semester tuition, less the $50 cancellation fee.
