Private Lessons and Private Group Classes

Geary Dance Center offers private and semi-private lessons to individual students, and the possiblity to create a private group class for organizations, school classes or homeschools.  These lessons and classes can be in styles we already offer or styles that are not offered by GDC faculty during the current semester.

Private Lessons: for 1 student with the intention to polish technique or learn a dance style
$100 for 60 minutes, 45 minute minimum
additional $25 charge for every 15 minutes (or portion thereof) after 60 minutes

Semi-Private Lessons: for 2 students with the intention to polish technique or learn a dance style
$175/hr, 45 minute minimum

Semi-Private Lessons: for Dance Team members only
$110/hr, 45 minute minimum

Private Ongoing Group Classes or Workshops: for up to 10 students depending on studio, level, age of students and dance style.
* For creation of a class that is open to enrollment of outside students as well as the original group, we charge the regular semester tuition and any New Student, Sibling or Volume discounts will apply as well as registration fee. For semester tuition costs, click here
* For an exclusive group (one that does not allow students from outside the group), the students share the tuition cost of a full class regardless of number of students actually enrolled. For example, if there is an 8 student max, but only 5 children are enrolled, those 5 students share the tuition for the remaining 3 spots. Discounts do not apply.
* For a one-time or short-term workshop, we charge a single fee negotiated by the group, the teacher and GDC.
