TRIAL CLASSES
SCHEDULING A TRIAL CLASS
Trial classes are a convenience we offer to make sure the class is the best one for the child before enrolling. We always recommend new dancers to a style or to Geary Dance Center try a class first before committing to the NON-REFUNDABLE semester or session tuition. It’s $25 to try a class and if your dancer enrolls, we prorate the semester or session tuition. This applies to children’s semester and summer classes only. We do not offer trial classes for Adult Classes or any Summer Camps. We will not schedule a trial class past the next 2 classes.
PAYMENT
You will need to pay the trial class fee within 7 days or before the trial class, whichever is sooner. YOUR TRIAL CLASS IS NOT CONFIRMED WITHOUT PAYMENT.
CHECK IN
On the day of the trial class, please check in at the office about 5 minutes before the class to check in and get a class pass to give to the teacher. The teacher will inform us whether the class is the right fit or make recommendations for another level or class. You will have 24 HOURS after the trial class to decide to enroll or the spot will be released. Our Registration Form/Waiver and Covid Waiver forms are now online! These forms are required of all students before their first class with us.
TRIAL CLASS CREDIT
If your student tries a FUNdamentals of Dance class for preschoolers and Kindergarten students and enrolls in a FUNdamentals of Dance class during the same semester, you will receive a $25 credit towards that semester’s tuition. This applies to new students only and only for semester classes, not Summer Saturdays. Credit will not be extended to enrollment in the following semester and only applies to FUNdamentals of Dance classes.
SUMMER SATURDAYS
Children who enroll in the full session of Summer Saturdays and enroll in the following Fall Semester classes will receive a $25 credit towards Fall Semester enrollment. This applies to new students only. Credit will not be extended to enrollment in a following semester.
SUMMER CAMPS
Children who enroll in Summer Dance Camps and enroll in the following Fall Semester will receive a $25 credit towards Fall Semester enrollment. This applies to new students only. Credit will not be extended to enrollmnet in a following semester.
MULTIPLE TRIAL CLASSES
You may try the same class twice, if there is space in the class to do so. You may try more than one style, but we will not reserve a spot for more than 24 hours after the trial class for you to decide which one to enroll in.
PLACEMENT CLASS
Sometimes a more experienced dancer needs to be evaluated for placement in an upper level class. The co-owners will ask pertinent questions about the child’s experience and suggest a class to try. That class is treated as a trial class with the same rights and responsibilities as a trial class in a beginning level.
CANCELLING OR RESCHEDULING A TRIAL CLASS
When we schedule your child for a trial class, we tentatively enroll him/her in the class to reserve the spot. If you need to reschedule, contact us at least 24 hours before the class and, if possible, we will reschedule your trial class to the following week and credit your payment. If you want to reschedule a trial class and the class is full with a waitlist, you will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist and there’s no guarantee there will be a spot available.
If you pay for a trial class and do not show up, you forfeit the trial class fee. No-shows lose their reserved spot in the class immediately.
