TAP: ages Kindergarten-18
Tap developed in 19th Century America from a mix of Irish clogging, African and African-American movements and vaudeville. Using special shoes with metal plates, the tap dancer can create multiple sounds and rhythmic patterns with their feet. Dancers will learn coordination and to respond to music in a rhythmic, fun and jazzy manner.
Beginning Tap: ages Kindergarten – 9
Tap I: prerequisite of Beginning Tap or permission of the instructor
Tap II: prerequisite of Tap I or permission of the instructor
Tap III: prerequisite of Tap II or permission of the instructor
Tap IV: prerequisite of Tap III or permission of the instructor

Tap I for Teens: prerequisite of Beginning Tap for Teens or permission of the instructor
Attire: tighter leggings or bike shorts and tighter fitting plain top, any color, hair in ponytail or bun. Black tap shoes and socks. No jewelry. NO LOOSE SHORTS OR T-SHIRTS.
