DANCE ME A STORY!
Dance & Art Camp for ages 4.5-7
Dance Me A Story Summer Dance & Art Camp is a fantastic way to nurture the curiosity, imagination and creative spark in your child! Art, non-gender specific story and basic dance/movement skills encourage your child’s independence and creative spark! Arts and crafts, different dance styles and narrative acting bring an international folk tale to life which is performed at the end of camp. Campers learn about the culture chosen for that week, and create the backdrop, props and costume pieces, often using traditional methods or motifs. The dance styles used include a folk dance from the culture studied as well as Ballet/Lyrical, Jazz and Hip Hop. Stories have included Jazz Baby (1950’s New York), Anansi and The Birds (West Africa), The Magic Grove (Central Asia), The Adventures of Pecos Bill (Wild West), Three Strong Women (Japan), The Beetle’s New Coat (Brazil), The Raven Brings Light (Inuit) and The Magical Snake Master of Agadir (Morocco).

TUITION
$400 for the week-long camp
$25 materials fee, per child, per camp
5% discount for 3 or more camps (can be combined with Summer Dance Camps for ages 8-18) (discount applies to tuition only, does not apply to materials fee)
5% discount for camps purchased before March 15 (discount applies to tuition only, does not apply to materials fee)
$25 credit towards Fall Semester enrollment if enrolled before end of camp (applies to new students only)
10% New Student Discount will apply to semester enrollment
Sibling discount does not apply to summer camps
Extended Care is available 8-9am and 3-6pm for $20/hour charged in 15 minute increments. Extended Care must be scheduled and paid in advance. AM Extended Care is charged from time of reservation, not actual arrival. PM Extended Care is is charged until time of pickup.

* Camp tuition is not refundable or transferable to semester tuition except for a serious documented medical issue. $100 cancellation fee will apply.
* Payment in full secures enrollment.
* Students with outstanding tuition will be dropped 10 days after initial enrollment.
* Sibling and new student discounts do not apply to summer classes or camps.

10:15-10:30am: break
10:30-11:15am: rehearsal
11:15am-12pm: lunch
12-12:45: dance class
12:45-1:45pm: arts and crafts
1:45-2pm: clean up
2-3pm: rehearsal
3-3:15pm: pick-up
3-6pm: Extended Care
GDC reserves the right to cancel camp due to insufficient enrollment and will return all camp fees upon cancellation. Minimum of 4 dancers, maximum of 8 dancers.
