BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Close your eyes and imagine 10 children high on sugar running around your house?
Not something you even want to think about? Consider having your child’s next birthday party at Geary Dance Center! A fun and educational experience where kids can work off some of those empty calories.
Birthday parties are available for children 2 to 8 years old and are available on Sundays for a 2-hour time period between 9 am and 12:45 pm.
Price includes use of Geary Dance Center for 2 hours (with free hour set-up time beforehand) and up to 10 children, decorated space appropriate to theme, 45 minute dance class and clean-up by GDC staff. Birthday family supplies children, food, birthday cake, goodie bags, crafts or additional decorations as desired.
Additional children are $10 each with a max of 20 children altogether. Estimated number of attendees must be given at least one week in advance in case an assistant is required. At least 2 adults must remain with the party for the duration.
There is no limit as to food served, but alcohol is not permitted on the premises. Geary Dance Center staff will be on the premises 30 minutes before the party start time for any additional set-up by parents and 30 minutes after the party so parents may gather their belongings. Birthday parties take place in Studio 2, with the dance class in studio 1. The dance class will be taught for roughly 45 minutes within the first hour of the party. Please keep partygoers in the party room (studio 2) so as not to disturb any classes happening during that time.
Have an older child !! Wondering what to do with their birthday?
How about a HIP HOP or JAZZ Birthday Party!! During an hour-long class, our excellent instructors can show the kids some “cool moves” for the next school dance. Cost for the Hip Hop Birthday is based on amount of participants and length of class, please contact us for pricing.
PLEASE NOTE: Both studios are accessed by a short flight of stairs. Studio 1 and 2 are separated by a short flight of stairs. Neither studio is easily disabled accessible.
Payment in full is required at least 48 hours before the party date. Cancellations with more than 48 hours notice will be refunded their fee. For cancellations without 48 hours-notice, parents will receive the fee less $75 for time and any materials purchased.
Geary Dance Center will require the following before securing your desired party date:
- Completed Registration Form and cash or check(s)
- Birthday Party Fee: $300.00 (Hip Hop or Jazz Birthday Party is priced differently)
- Additional children over 10 participants: $10.00 each (can be paid the day of the party)
- Hold Harmless Waivers from each participant

BIRTHDAY PARTY THEMES
My Pink Fairy Princess Ballerina-A celebration of all things PINK!! If you have a girly girl this is the theme for you. Dance class will include age-appropriate ballet movements as well as dances that illustrate a Princess’s life. Class will culminate in an appropriate ballet story. Recommended for ages 2-8.
Pirate’s Cove-The pirates have to search for their treasure while battling crocodiles and sharks. The dance class will introduce basic dance and gymnastic skills and partiers will overcome obstacles in their quest for booty! Recommended for ages 2-8.
Disco Down!-Come dressed to impress in your finest disco duds! Basic dance and gymnastic skills are introduced as well as basic ballroom steps culminating in a disco free for all! Recommended for ages 4-8.
The Mouse And The Dollhouse-A little mouse looks for a new house and thinks she’s found the perfect one-or is it ?? Dance class will use fanciful and concrete imagery that very young children can understand and enjoy. Recommended for ages 2-6.
The Rainbow Fairy’s Picnic-The Rainbow Fairy plans a picnic in the park-let’s see who joins her! Dance class will join concrete and fanciful imagery to illustrate the various residents of the park. Recommended for ages 2-6.
Jungle Holiday-Wiggly monkeys, slithery snakes, pouncing panthers and bobbling butterflies inhabit our jungle world. Dance class will use concrete imagery that very young children can understand and enjoy. Recommended for ages 2-6.
Spring On The Farm-The Farmer celebrates the many baby animals that Spring brings!? Dance class will use concrete imagery very young children can understand and enjoy. Recommended for ages 2-6.
The Enchanted Forest-Visit the Bunny family, the Bear family and the Bird family in their homes!? Dance class will use concrete and fanciful imagery very young children can understand and enjoy.? Recommended for ages 2-6.
Themeless! Don’t want a theme? Want to create your own Bring your own decorations and we’ll help you put them up in the half-hour set-up time. Sorry, no nails or duct tape allowed, please use the supplied masking tape or removable mounting putty. Or, tell us the theme you want and we can create a corresponding dance class.
